我漁船與日公務船擦撞，國民黨籲日方遵守台日漁業協定，謹慎處理
針對我國籍漁船「新凌波236號」在釣魚台海域與日本海上保安廳公務船擦撞，中國國民黨今(28)日呼籲日方，在與中華民國的友好基礎上，繼續遵守馬政府時期簽訂的「台日漁業協定」；並強調國民黨珍惜與日本政界長期的友誼，希望日方應該謹慎處理此節，日後避免再生枝節，造成雙方民間的誤會。
國民黨指出，釣魚台周遭水域本為我漁民合法捕魚場域，呼籲我方政府立即透過外交管道，迅速釐清事件原委及相關責任歸屬，並儘速向國人說明為何日船會與我方漁船在釣魚台水域發生擦撞？以及當時政府護漁措施為何？民進黨政府有責任確保我國釣魚台水域漁權以及漁民人身安全。

With regards to the colliding of the
Taiwanese fishing boat ‘Xin Lingbo 236’ and the official vessel of the Japanese
Coast Guard in the Diaoyutai waters, the KMT has issued the following
statement:
1. The waters surrounding the Diaoyutai
Islands are originally legal fishing grounds for Taiwan’s fishermen. The KMT
called on the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Japan governments to immediately
clarify the origin of the incident and related responsibilities through
diplomatic channels. The KMT requests an explanation from the Tsai
administration to the people of Taiwan as to why the collision took place and
what measures the government took for our fishermen. The DPP has the
responsibility to ensure the safety of our fishermen and to safeguard their
fishing rights in the Diaoyutai waters.

The KMT calls on both sides to follow the Taiwan-Japan Fisheries Agreement
signed in 2013 during the Ma Ying-Jeou administration, which stands for the
continuity of friendship.

The KMT also cherishes its decades of friendship with the Japanese political
community and calls on the Japanese government to prudently handle this
incident, preventing any possible recurrences that lead to misunderstanding
between the peoples of Taiwan and Japan.
