國民黨：江主席未在AIT與盧市長見面後求見酈英傑
有關媒體報導中國國民黨江啟臣主席與美國在台協會(AIT)會面相關報導，中國國民黨駁斥如下:
江主席從未在AIT酈英傑處長與台中市市長盧秀燕見面後，主動求見AIT酈處長。
國民黨與AIT各階層的溝通管道順暢，且都適時表達國民黨對於萊豬進口的立場，忠實轉達多數台灣人民心聲。
國民黨反對世界各國含有萊克多巴胺豬肉進口，並且認為民進黨政府沒有能力管理萊豬進口造成的食安風險；前述的立場清楚，而且從未改變。若干特定媒體或政治評論者應善盡與國民黨及AIT查證責任，以正視聽。
刻意放話挑撥國民黨中央與AIT關係，或誣指江主席以兩手策略尋求美方駐台官員諒解之說，充其量只是在轉移國內民眾反對萊豬進口的焦點、掩蓋民進黨不事先與民溝通便率爾開放的荒唐行為，國民黨相信全民均對此低下伎倆了然於胸。
KMT: Chairman Chiang Did Not Seek a Meeting with Director Christensen after AIT’s Visit to Taichung City Mayor Lu
Regarding media reports about a meeting between Kuomintang (KMT) Chairman Johnny Chiang and the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), the KMT refutes the reports as follows:
Chairman Chiang did not actively request to meet with AIT Director William Brent Christensen after Christensen visited Taichung City Mayor Lu Shiou-yen.
The KMT maintains smooth communications with the AIT. Moreover, the KMT expresses its timely attitude towards ractopamine pork (racto-pork) imports, and faithfully conveys the true voice of the majority of people on Taiwan.
The KMT opposes imports of pork containing ractopamine from all countries. Furthermore, the KMT believes that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government lacks the ability to manage the food safety risk created by imports of racto-pork. The KMT has clearly expressed its position on the imports of racto-pork and has never changed its doubts about the DPP’s ability to manage food safety risk. Certain media outlets and political commentators should responsibly verify the facts regarding the information between the KMT and the AIT to not convey false information to the public.
Deliberately spreading rumors to alienate relations between the KMT and the AIT, or falsely accusing Chairman Chiang of begging AIT officials to understand by using a two-handed strategy, are at most mere distractions from the main point that the Taiwanese people oppose racto-pork imports, and are also attempts at covering up the DPP’s ridiculous conduct of recklessly allowing imports without communicating with the people in advance. The KMT believes that the people are all well aware of these dirty tricks by the DPP.
