元旦升旗典禮 江主席：民進黨護航萊豬公然違憲
中國國民黨今(1)日上午於中央黨部前廣場舉行中華民國110年元旦升旗典禮，黨主席江啟臣、前總統馬英九、前副總統吳敦義、前主席朱立倫偕同多位立法委員、中常委、黨務主管共同到場。對於今日起萊豬正式開放進口，江主席強調，民進黨政府為了護航萊豬，可以公然違憲、違法，宣布地方政府維護食安的措施無效，已經到了獨裁專制、匪夷所思的地步！國民黨絕對力挺縣市政府聲請大法官釋憲，捍衛人民的食安與地方自治的權利！
江主席致詞表示，全球從2019年年底爆發新冠肺炎（COVID-19）以來，歷時超過一年，臺灣由於全民防疫意識獨步全球，以及公衛體系的健全，迄今仍然是最安全的國度之一。但這絕對不是如同棒球比賽的九局下半，隨著新冠肺炎變種病毒的擴散，以及時序進入活躍期，這場人類與疫情的對抗，才剛開始進入第二階段，我們還有很長的一段路要走，全民也會齊心走下去。
江主席指出，在相對安全的防疫環境下，臺灣去年的經濟成長率達到2.54%，經濟、投資、出口都很不錯，但是政府不願意面對、且沒有告訴大家的是，在股市光鮮亮麗的背後，是政府官員勾結股市作手，拿勞工退休基金大玩金錢遊戲與貪汙腐化，光是退佣就高達百億元；在經濟成長數字的背後，絕大多數傳產與服務業的中小企業主苦撐待變，廣大的勞工更是苦不堪言，擔心若疫情持續惡化，邊境持續鎖國，連工作都可能不保。
江主席表示，在如此惡劣的環境下，蔡政府卻執意調高勞保與健保費率，月入5.3萬元的4口之家，一年可能將增加健保支出高達3,605元；在大環境持續低迷與疫情延燒的情況下，勞保、健保雙漲，無異落井下石。
江主席質疑，蔡英文總統告訴我們，臺灣經貿走向世界，但人民還沒看到貿易談判的啟動與果實，卻看到臺灣被美國列為「匯率操縱國觀察名單」，還要被政府強逼吃下萊豬。縣市政府為了保護民眾的食安與健康，依據地方自治精神及大法官解釋意旨制訂自治條例，是憲法保障的地方自治範疇，國民黨絕對力挺縣市政府聲請大法官釋憲，捍衛人民的食安與地方自治的權利。
他並以蔣故總統經國先生所言：「冬天將逝，春天不遠，這正是我們化願望為積極行動的一個時候。」強調不論環境再惡劣，不論險阻再艱難，國民黨沒有悲觀的權利，只有努力奮鬥，才能監督執政黨的傲慢無能；只有提出願景，才能給臺灣人民一個美好的未來。
展望新的一年，江主席強調，挑戰與任務只會更加艱鉅，新冠肺炎疫情下，臺灣產業結構的調整以及民生經濟的振興；美國新任總統就職以及全球體系的重整；兩岸關係低盪，需要重新尋求對話的空間；持續監督執政黨的專斷獨行及倒行逆施，捍衛臺灣的民主與人權；「反萊豬顧食安」以及「還我公投權」兩項公投的連署及投票，都在在考驗著國民黨的能力與決心。相信在所有國民黨黨公職以及支持者的齊心努力下，國民黨正走在改革以及正確的道路上，民意也逐漸轉向。只要大家團結合作，沒有無法突破的險阻，只有國民黨重新站起來，臺灣才能邁向更美好的未來。
馬前總統、吳前主席、朱前主席亦先後致詞，除了對新年表達祈願，更對蔡總統違反民意開放萊豬進口、漠視食品安全，強調國民黨將站在民眾立場，保護民眾的健康安全，爭取更多的民意支持。
New Year’s Flag Raising Ceremony
Chairman Chiang: DPP Convoy of Ractopork Flagrantly Unconstitutional
This morning (January 1st), the Kuomintang held the 110th Republic of China (ROC) New Year’s flag raising ceremony at the public plaza in front of the KMT Central Headquarters. Party Chairman Johnny Chiang, former President Ma Ying-jeou, former Vice-President Wu Den-yih, and former Chairman Eric Chu, along with numerous Legislators, Central Standing Committee members, and party members in charge of party affairs, all attended the ceremony together. Regarding the official beginning of ractopamine pork (ractopork) import today, Chairman Chiang emphasized that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government, for the sake of convoying ractopork, has flagrantly, unconstitutionally, and illegally dictated that the food safety protection measures of local governments are invalid. The DPP has achieved an unconscionable level of autocratic dictatorship. The KMT unequivocally supports the formal requests of county and city governments for the Constitutional Court to interpret the Constitution and will unequivocally defend the people’s food safety and the right to local autonomy!
Chairman Chiang, during his speech, stated that it has been over one year since the eruption of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic at the end of 2019. Due to the epidemic prevention mindset of the Taiwanese people, and with the help of the ROC’s robust public health system, Taiwan has stood above the rest of the world and remains the safest place on Earth. However, it’s absolutely not the bottom of the ninth yet. In the wake of the proliferation of the mutated COVID-19 virus, in addition to the incoming busy season, this confrontation of man versus epidemic has only begun to enter its second stage. We still have a long path ahead, and the people are going to walk with us.
Chairman Chiang pointed out that, under Taiwan’s relatively secure epidemic prevention environment, Taiwan’s economic growth achieved 2.54%; economics, investments, and exports all performed decently. However, the government is unwilling to face and has moreover failed to inform everyone that behind the stock market’s shiny exterior, government employees collude with stock brokers to gamble with labor retirement funds and partake in other types of corruption; just the commission fees attain the tens of billions NTD. Behind the economic growth numbers, the overwhelming majority of small and medium business owners in traditional industries and service industries barely sustain themselves while waiting for change. Many laborers suffer even more, worrying that if the epidemic situation continues to worsen and the borders continue to be closed, then even their jobs will be in danger.
Chairman Chiang further stated that despite this vile environment, the Tsai administration continues to insist on adjusting the rates of labor insurance and health insurance upwards. The annual health insurance expenditure of a household of four with a monthly income of NT$53,000 will increase by NT$3,605. Under the circumstances of macro level slump and continued epidemic spread, the dual raising of labor and health insurance rates just kicks the people while they’re down.
Chairman Chiang called into question President Tsai Ing-wen’s statement that Taiwan is aligning towards the international trade community; the people have still not seen the launch nor the fruits of any trade negotiations. Instead, the people have seen Taiwan added by the United States to its “currency manipulator watchlist” while being forced by the government to eat ractopork. County and city governments, for the sake of protecting their people’s food safety and health, and according to the spirit of local autonomy and according to regulations on autonomy interpreted by, intended by, and formulated by the Constitutional Court, have acted upon the local autonomy guaranteed by the ROC Constitution. The KMT unequivocally supports the formal requests of county and city governments for the Constitutional Court to interpret the Constitution and will unequivocally defend the people’s food safety and the right to local autonomy.
Chairman Chiang also quoted late President Chiang Ching-kuo, “Winter will pass and spring is near. This is the time for us to turn our desires into positive action,” in order to emphasize that no matter how vile the environment is, no matter how challenging the path poses, the KMT has no right to be pessimistic. Only by fighting on can the KMT check the ruling party’s arrogance and incompetence; only by envisioning the future can the KMT give the people of Taiwan a bright future.
Chairman Chiang emphasized that challenges and tasks in the new year ahead will only become more arduous under the COVID-19 epidemic situation: the adjustments to Taiwan’s industrial structure and revitalization of the people’s economic livelihood, the assumption of office by the US President-Elect and the restructuring of the entire global system, and the nadir of cross-Strait relations all require space for reestablishment of dialogue. Continuing supervision of the ruling party’s arbitrary, dictatorial, and backwards methods, protection of Taiwan’s democracy and human rights, and the signature drives in addition to voting of the “Oppose Ractopork and Safeguard Food Safety” and “Give Back My Referenda” referenda: these are all tests of the KMT’s capability and determination. Chairman Chiang is convinced that with the united efforts of all the KMT party workers and supporters, the KMT is currently walking the proper path of reform; the public opinion is also gradually changing in the KMT’s favor. As long as everyone works together, no hindrance is too dangerous nor too difficult to break through. Only if the KMT once again stands up can Taiwan march towards a better future.
Former President Ma, Former Chairman Wu, and Former Chairman Zhu respectively gave speeches. In addition to expressing their hopes for the new year, they also responded to President Tsai’s violation of the popular will to allow ractopork imports and ignore food safety, emphasizing that the KMT will stand by the side of the people, will protect the people’s health and safety, and will win over even more popular support.
