回應《經濟學人》報導，江主席：各方用對話解決不同意見或衝突
中國國民黨主席江啟臣今(30)日上午參加台北松山慈惠堂母娘文化季保民遶境嘉年華起駕儀式。有關《經濟學人》以「台灣，世界上最危險的地方」為題的報導，江主席接受聯訪時表示，我們一再對執政黨或對岸提出呼籲，台海不應該成為強權爭奪的戰場，《經濟學人》的報導呼應了我們之前這樣的呼籲。他強調，全世界看待台海的安全、和平時，以目前情勢來看，比其他區域都顯得更加險峻，因此他呼籲兩岸執政當局、美國與中共等各方應該保持理性，要用對話方式解決任何不同意見或衝突，不要讓軍事的對峙、政治的對立日益惡化或情勢升高。他認為，台灣處在中間，屆時最可能受到危害或威脅。
針對媒體詢問與前主席朱立倫密會的情況？江主席表示，「沒有什麼密會！」黨是一個大家庭，跟任何人隨時隨地、不論什麼場合都可以見面、溝通，趙少康大哥也來中常會演講，他也曾拜訪前高雄市長韓國瑜。他指出，平常有需要時，我們都會不定時的碰面，「沒有什麼密會不密會！」
至於有爆料指稱若主席改選有紛爭就放棄連任一事？江主席指出，基本上，七月底是黨內的民主、黨內的分工，8月28日全民公投是國家政策的選擇，「那一個比較重要？不用講都很清楚」，他強調，此時此刻對他的心情而言，「拚公投重於一切」，所以黨務工作、立法院的工作，我們絕對是擺在第一優先，這是我們目前的心情！
對於何時請假參選？江主席表示，目前選舉時程還沒有出來，出來以後，我們自然就知道怎麼安排。

Conflict and Differing Opinions Through Dialogues
In response to the Economist Cover Story “Taiwan: the most dangerous place on Earth,” Chairman Jiang stated that the KMT has repeatedly appealed to both the current ruling party in the Republic of China (ROC) and the authorities on the other side of the Taiwan Strait, stating that the Strait should not become a battlefield for power contests; the Economist’s report corresponds with this appeal. Chairman Chiang emphasizes that the whole world is focused upon the safety and security of the Taiwan Strait. Considering the present situation, the Strait seems to be more dangerous and tense than other areas of the world. He therefore calls upon the authorities in power on both sides of the Strait, in addition to the United States and others, to all remain rational, to use dialogue in order to settle any and all conflicts or differences of opinion, and to not allow military confrontation nor political division to increasingly worsen or cause the situation to escalate. Chairman Chiang believes that Taiwan is in the thick of it, and when the times come, is the most likely to be jeopardized or threatened.
