疫情升溫 江主席：全力配合防疫工作
中國國民黨主席江啟臣今（12）日於中常會上指出，新冠肺炎的疫情升溫，再次提醒我們，病毒的威脅不但還沒遠離，甚至隨時可能全面反撲。不明傳染源的案例出現，如何避免社區傳染擴大，已經成為目前最大的防疫挑戰！互相推諉責任，絕非防疫當前應該有的態度。他呼籲中央應該與地方政府積極溝通協調，確保防疫政策可行性，確保疫情控制不至於因為政策與執行間的落差，造成防疫破口。
江主席強調，配合疫情指揮中心的防疫工作，是大家共同的責任。他也藉此機會宣布，暫緩辦理既定的公投宣講、集會活動。未來，如果有任何規劃的各項活動，都將持續配合中央、地方各級政府的防疫措施，因應疫情變化，確保防疫優先。江主席也呼籲所有的黨公職人員，全力配合疫情指揮中心的防疫規範，並且積極給予協助，支持防疫工作進行，共度疫情難關。
除了遵守防疫作為，江主席表示，國民黨身為最大在野黨，不會放棄實質監督防疫工作的職責。再次呼籲防疫指揮中心重新思考確診者足跡公布的標準，保持防疫資訊透明，降低國人恐慌。考量地方政府防疫量能，檢討防疫旅館設置標準，避免防疫旅館繼續成為防疫破口。同時也應該進一步檢視目前的篩檢量能，精準擴大篩檢，儘速找出隱形傳播鍊。檢討疫苗政策，利用多方管道取得疫苗，提高國人疫苗施打信心，提高疫苗施打率。
今天是國際護師節，江主席也代表國民黨為第一線的醫護人員加油！為所有辛勞的防疫人員打氣！他強調，面對變化快速的疫情，只有一件事情是肯定的，那就是：病毒是我們共同的敵人，防疫工作不應該有黨派之分！共同努力，一起守護，是朝野共同的責任！
江主席並請全體黨務同仁，因應後續疫情升級的防疫規劃，建立各種可能的應變流程，確保在防疫優先的前提下，勉力推動黨務。他並感謝所有黨務同仁的辛勞，並提醒大家，在繁忙的工作之餘也應做好防疫，留意自己的身體狀況，健康，比什麼都重要！大家一起努力！
With Infections on the rise, Chairman Chiang Urges Full Cooperation on Covid-19 Prevention
“The recent escalation of COVID-19 is another reminder that the threat of the novel virus is not away from us and may pounce at any moment,” said Chiang Chi-chen （江啟臣）, Chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT), during the Central Standing Committee meeting today (May 12).
The emergence of the yet-unidentified source of virus infection and how to stem community transmission have become the gravest challenge at this juncture. And buck-passing is by no means the way to cope with it. Ergo, Chairman Chiang called upon the central government to actively communicate and coordinate with local governments to ensure the feasibility of pandemic prevention strategies. Further, the central government must see to it there exists no gap between strategies’ stated goals and their implementation.
Chairman Chiang stressed that containing the virus requires us to cooperate with the central epidemic command center (CECC). He also announced on this occasion that he was suspending planned referendum speeches and rallies. Moving forward, should there be any scheduled public appearances, they will only take place per the epidemic prevention measures set out by the central and local governments. We must put safety above all else. Besides, Mr. Chiang urged party officials to comply with the epidemic prevention standards laid out by the CECC. Not only that, all-party officials must also actively assist and support the center’s efforts to curb the virus. Only through our collective efforts can we weather this epidemic crisis.
In addition to observing the epidemic prevention measures, Mr. Chiang said that the KMT, as the opposition party, will not relent in its supervision of the government. The KMT once more calls upon the CECC to rethink its standards for the contact-tracing of confirmed patients, maintain COVID-19 information transparency, and in so doing ease public panic. With all the prevention measures in place, however, there is more the government can do. First, review the standards of quarantine hotels and preclude them from becoming an infection control breach, while also taking into account local governments’ epidemic prevention capacity. Meantime, the government must also examine the current virus screening capacity, expand accurate screening, and ferret out the invisible transmission chain. Finally, review its current vaccine policy. The government should diversifyvaccine sources and boost vaccine confidence among our population- which could then increase vaccination rates.
Today is the International Nurses Day. Chairman Chiang, on behalf of the KMT, expresses immense gratitude to frontline medical workers. Mr. Chiang emphasizes, in the face of this kaleidoscopic virus, we must remember it understands only killing and knows no party division. It, therefore, bestows on all of us- no matter our party affiliation- to work in tandem to preserve our health.
