國民黨：港府限縮香港言論自由令人遺憾
關於香港警方昨(17)日以涉嫌違反港版國安法為由，先後拘捕多位壹傳媒及蘋果日報負責人員一事，中國國民黨對此表達高度的憂慮，港府的執法已經造成寒蟬效應、實質上限縮香港社會言論自由，港府的做法令人遺憾。
國民黨認為，言論自由和司法獨立是保障香港民主發展的必要條件。對於新聞自由的尊重，則是言論自由的基本底線。港府的執法，尤其是在涉及港版國安法的使用方面，應該要更為審慎，也要有更嚴格的界定，這關乎到香港司法的獨立性。
國民黨強調，基於和香港的淵源，和中華民國憲法下台灣與香港間的特殊關係，國民黨長期關注香港局勢，對於港人的處境最能感同身受。國民黨由衷的呼籲港府，只有探查民意向背，才能夠長治久安。以港版國安法拘捕媒體高層，無助於香港的穩定，也無助於陸港關係的和諧。
國民黨表示，近期傳出前幾年考上國泰航空的約150名台籍空服將因工作簽證無法更新，因此得被迫離開工作崗位。希望港府有效保障相關人員合法權益。
KMT: HK Gov’t Restrictions on Freedom of Speech Regrettable
The Kuomintang (KMT) expresses concerns regarding the arrest of several Next Media and Apple Daily personnel on suspicion of violating the Law of the People's Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong National Security Law), saying that the Hong Kong government's law enforcement has caused a chilling effect and has substantially reduced the freedom of speech in Hong Kong society. The Hong Kong government’s action is regrettable.
The KMT believes that freedom of speech and judicial independence are necessary conditions for the development of democracy in Hong Kong. Respect for freedom of the press is the bare minimum of free speech. The Hong Kong government’s enforcement, especially when it comes to the use of the Hong Kong National Security Law, should be more cautious and be more strictly defined because it is related to the independence of Hong Kong’s judiciary.
The KMT emphasizes that, based on its ties with Hong Kong, and the special relationship between Taiwan and Hong Kong under the Republic of China Constitution, the KMT has long been concerned about the situation in Hong Kong. Therefore, the KMT greatly empathizes with the situation of Hong Kong people. The KMT sincerely appeals to the Hong Kong government that only by hearing the voice of the people can the government maintain long-term stability in Hong Kong. The use of the Hong Kong National Security Law to arrest high-level media personnel does not help the stability of Hong Kong, nor does it help to build harmony between mainland China and Hong Kong.
