舉划龍舟勉團結 朱立倫：感謝僑界百年支持 不怕清算打壓堅持做對的事培養年輕人
中國國民黨主席朱立倫於美西時間2日晚間於美國舊金山灣區出席僑學界晚宴。朱主席強調，非常高興能夠與僑學界在端午節齊聚一堂，他並逐一列舉上任後完成的重要工作，以及此次訪美的目標和九合一大選進度。朱主席的發言獲得僑胞的熱烈迴響，現場加油聲與掌聲不斷。
朱主席表示，國民黨現在的困境，比不上總理當年創黨時拋頭顱、灑熱血，但民進黨執政六年來，不斷清算、凍結國民黨的黨產，「每一天我桌上的公文，又是民進黨在清算我們哪一塊的黨產」，只要發現有任何一塊錢就查封，讓國民黨動彈不得。最新的鬥爭就是國民黨的黨史，每一份都要交給他們，不交就移送法辦。民進黨的鬥爭清算已經破壞民主法治，國民黨絕對不會屈服，會堅持做好每一件該做的事。
朱主席強調，即使面對再多困難，他仍然與國民黨的同志團結一心共同完成許多重要工作。首先是同舟計畫，半年來已有6萬多人加入或重返國民黨，同舟計畫壯大了國民黨的聲勢，讓臺灣免於民進黨的一黨專政；其次，國民黨今年的九合一大選提名力挺年輕人，青年參選人在初選民調最多可以加權100%，主席表示這讓他被罵得很慘，但今天不做明天就會後悔，國民黨唯有培養更多的年輕人，才能一代接一代，大家一起為中華民國奮鬥。
關於此次訪美的目標，朱主席指出，國民黨一定要和國際接軌，在華府設立代表處，就是要讓美國、讓世界聽到國民黨的聲音，不能再讓民進黨醜化、汙衊國民黨親中賣台。朱主席重申，國民黨不會放棄兩岸對話交流，國民黨會以和平共處的方式愛臺灣，希望僑界一起成為溝通管道。
朱主席接著表示，今天是端午節，划龍舟是重要的傳統習俗且要有團結的精神才能夠贏得勝利。年底的選舉亦是如此，國民黨在地方首長一定會提最強、最能勝選的候選人，提名或徵召之後，希望各界都能全力支持。
朱主席最後強調，非常感謝海外僑團百年來對國民黨堅定不移的支持。朱立倫向現場所有人喊話，在如此艱辛困苦之際，自己一定會傳承國父孫中山不畏苦難的精神，在年底選舉當中力拚勝選，海內外齊心團結，大家一起努力。

Eric Chu: Thanks to the overseas Chinese community for a Century of Support
Undaunted by Liquidation & Suppression: the KMT will Persevere & Do the Right Thing by Uplifting Young People
Kuomintang (KMT) Chairman Eric Chu attended a dinner with overseas Chinese scholars in the San Francisco Bay Area on Thursday (June 2nd) evening, Pacific Time. Chairman Chu emphasized that he was very happy to be with the overseas Chinese academic community on the day of the Dragon Boat Festival. At dinner, he listed the important tasks he had completed after taking office, the goals of his visit to the United States, and the progress of the 9-in-1 general elections. Eric Chu’s speech was warmly received by the overseas Chinese, and there were continuous cheers and applause from the crowd.
Chairman Chu stated that the KMT’s current predicament is nothing compared to the blood, sweet, and tears that Premier Sun Yat-sen poured into the party when he founded it. However, over the course of the Democratic Progress Party’s (DPP) six years in power, they have continuously liquidated and frozen the KMT’s party assets. He said that “the documents he receives on his desk every day will inevitably include the DPP liquidating another piece of our party assets.” As soon as the DPP discovers any amount of money, they seize it, trying to freeze the KMT itself. The DPP’s fight to liquidate our assets has already destroyed our democracy and rule of law; the KMT will unequivocally continue fighting. The KMT will persevere and do everything that needs to be done.
Chairman Chu emphasized that, even in the face of numerous difficulties, he will still work together with his comrades in the KMT to accomplish numerous important tasks. The first task was the “in the same boat” plan, with which more than 60,000 people have joined or returned to the KMT in the past six months. The plan has strengthened the momentum of the KMT and freed Taiwan from the one-party dictatorship of the DPP. Furthermore, the KMT has nominated and supported young people in this year’s 9-in-1 general elections; young KMT candidates can be weighed up to 100% in the primary voter polls. Chairman Chu said that he received a lot of criticism for this, but if this isn’t done today, we’ll regret it tomorrow. Only by uplifting more young people, can the KMT, from generation to generation, fight for the Republic of China.
Regarding the goals of his visit to the United States, Chairman Chu pointed out that the KMT must connect with the international community. The establishment of a representative office in Washington DC is to let the United States and the world hear the voice of the KMT. The KMT cannot allow the DPP to continue smearing and slandering the KMT as pro-China and selling out Taiwan. Chairman Chu reiterated that the KMT will not give up on cross-Strait dialogue and exchange; the KMT will show love for Taiwan by achieving peaceful coexistence. The KMT hopes that the overseas Chinese community will come together to become a communication channel for this goal.
Chairman Chu went on to say that today is the Dragon Boat Festival, and dragon boating is not only an important tradition, but also, when racing dragon boats, victory can only be achieved when everyone is united. The elections at the end of the year are the same; the KMT will definitely nominate candidates who are the strongest and most likely to be elected. After nomination or appointment, the KMT hopes that everyone can support them with all their strength.
Lastly, Chairman Chu emphasized that he is very grateful to the overseas Chinese community for their support of over a century for the KMT. Chairman Chu roared out to the crowd, shouting that during these trying times, he will unequivocally channel our founding father Sun Yat-sen’s spirit of defying hardship, and give it his all to win the elections at the end of the year. He called upon everyone, both at home and abroad, to work together, unite, and strive for victory together.
