國民黨盼兩岸以和為貴，對話化解對立
中國國民黨今(13)日表示，始終反對中共在臺海周邊進行軍事行動，威脅臺灣安全，破壞臺海區域穩定。國民黨認為，海峽兩岸以和為貴，交往對話才能化解對立，使用武力只會加深裂痕，製造仇恨。
國民黨強調，民進黨政府與之前的國民黨執政時期，同樣面對了習近平主政下的中國大陸，但民進黨政府卻面臨了日漸嚴重的臺海衝突可能性。中共不放棄武力犯臺絕對是主因，但也和中共與民進黨的政治歧異，影響了兩岸關係。
國民黨並指出，相關演習可能已經完成或正在進行，國防部是否充分掌握？如果已有掌握，國防部應及早向國人說明影響範圍；如果沒有，國防部應立即檢討，不要讓臺灣地區民眾知的權利由中共當局決定。
The KMT Hopes for Cross-Strait Peace, Using Dialogue to
Resolve Antagonism
Today
(August 13), the Kuomintang (KMT) expresses its
continuous opposition to the military operations of the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP) in
the Taiwan Strait area, which threaten Taiwan's security and destroy the
stability of the Taiwan Strait. Hoping for cross-Strait peace, the KMT believes that only cross-strait dialogue can resolve
antagonism,
and that use of force will only deepen the
fissure and create more hostility.
The KMT emphasizes that both the current Democratic
Progressive Party (DPP) administration and the previous KMT administration
faced a mainland China under Xi Jinping’s rule, but the DPP administration was
confronted by an increasingly serious possibility of cross-strait conflict. The
CCP's unwillingness to renounce the use of force against Taiwan
is unequivocally the main reason for this escalation, but the political differences
between the CCP and the DPP have also influenced cross-strait relations.
The KMT also indicates that
pertinent military exercises (of
the CCP) may have already been carried out,
or are currently taking place. Does
the ROC Ministry
of National Defense have
sufficient intelligence already? If so, the Ministry should clearly inform the public of the impact of these exercises as
soon as possible. If not, the Ministry should immediately make self-examination. We must not allow the CPC to decide the right to information for the people in Taiwan.
