國民黨舉辦「二戰勝利暨台灣光復紀念酒會」
朱立倫：盼國際社會共同守護得來不易的勝利與和平
中國國民黨4日晚間以「勝利與和平」為主題，於台北晶華酒店舉辦「二戰勝利暨臺灣光復八十週年紀念酒會」。活動日期與主視覺設計，延續1945年9月4日蔣中正總裁於重慶軍事委員會禮堂主持慶祝勝利茶會的歷史傳統。現場出席者包括駐華使節、友邦代表、國際媒體人士、退休將領、海外華僑，共同紀念中華民國歷史上具有重大意義的一頁。
朱立倫主席致詞時表示，八十年前在中國國民黨的領導下，全體國人同心抗戰，最終取得抗戰勝利，臺灣重歸中華民國版圖，國際秩序亦因此重整。戰後中華民國成為聯合國創始會員國之一，國際地位獲得提升，並對世界和平與重建作出實質貢獻。朱立倫強調，紀念歷史不僅是追憶，更是承擔傳遞真相與教育後代的責任，中國國民黨將持續秉持此一精神，堅定守護中華民國與臺灣。
朱立倫指出，歷史經驗帶來啟示，而責任則在於當下與未來。近年來，臺灣民主制度面臨嚴峻挑戰，國民黨在一系列政治性罷免行動中展現團結，最終以「31比0」的結果維護人民意志，彰顯民主韌性與制度價值。他並回顧過去四年推動的黨務改革，強調國民黨已在年輕化、國際化、現代化方面取得具體進展，顯示國民黨不僅承載歷史傳統，更具備面向未來的能力。
朱立倫同時表示，此次酒會為其任內最後一次主持的大型外事活動，意義深遠。他感謝長期支持中華民國的各國使節、國際友人及國內外各界，並表示深信國民黨將繼續承擔責任，守護中華民國，並與國際社會協力，維護區域與世界的和平與自由。
副主席夏立言表示，今年酒會特別規劃三項特色，以彰顯歷史氛圍並強化文化傳承： 四款印有二戰歷史影像之紀念啤酒，供與會者自由取用，象徵共享勝利與和平。由徐宗懋老師提供的珍貴歷史照片，陳列於會場入口兩側，呈現波瀾壯闊的時代記憶。賓客離場時致贈二戰勝利紀念環保袋、明信片與海報。
夏立言指出，上述安排旨在藉由文化再現與互動體驗，使國際友人更加理解中華民國在二戰中的歷史角色與貢獻，並引導青年世代體認自由與和平的可貴。
KMT Hosts Reception Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Second World War and the Restoration of Taiwan
Chairman Eric Chu Calls on the International Community to Safeguard the Hard-Won Victory and Peace
Taipei, September 4, 2025 The KMT (KMT) this evening hosted the “80th Anniversary Reception of Victory in the Second World War and the Restoration of Taiwan” at the Regent Taipei, under the theme Victory and Peace. The date and theme recalled September 4, 1945, when President Chiang Kai-shek presided over a tea reception at the Military Affairs Commission Hall in Chongqing to commemorate Allied victory.
In his address, KMT Chairman Eric Chu emphasized that eighty years ago, under KMT leadership, the Chinese people united in resistance and ultimately secured victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan. Taiwan was restored to the Republic of China, the international order was reshaped, and the Republic of China became a founding member of the United Nations, enhancing its international standing and contributing significantly to global peace and reconstruction. Chairman Chu stressed that commemoration is not only remembrance but also a responsibility to preserve truth and educate future generations. He reaffirmed that the KMT will continue to uphold this mission and remain resolute in defending the Republic of China and Taiwan.
Chairman Chu noted that while history offers guidance, responsibility lies in the present and the future. Taiwan’s democratic system, he observed, has faced serious challenges in recent years. In the face of politically driven recall campaigns, the KMT stood united and prevailed with a record of “31 to 0,” safeguarding the will of the people and underscoring the resilience and value of Taiwan’s democracy. He also reflected on the reforms advanced during his tenure, highlighting progress in generational renewal, internationalization, and modernization, demonstrating that the KMT is not only a party of history but also a party prepared for the future.
Chairman Chu further remarked that this reception marked the final major diplomatic event of his tenure as Chairman, a moment of particular significance. He expressed gratitude to the diplomatic corps, international partners, and communities at home and abroad for their enduring support, and voiced confidence that the KMT will continue to fulfill its responsibilities, safeguard the Republic of China, and work with the international community to preserve peace and freedom across the region and the world.
Vice Chairman Andrew Hsia highlighted three special features of this year’s reception designed to reinforce the historical atmosphere and cultural legacy: commemorative beers featuring images of wartime milestones, symbolizing the shared celebration of victory and peace; a display of rare historical photographs provided by Professor Hsu Tsung-mou, arranged at the entrance to the venue; and commemorative tote bags, postcards, and posters presented to departing guests.
Hsia emphasized that these arrangements were intended not only to commemorate but also to educate. Through cultural representation and interactive engagement, international guests were able to gain a deeper understanding of the Republic of China’s role and contributions during the Second World War, while younger generations were reminded of the enduring value of freedom and peace.
